How we look after your information

Your privacy, plainly.

Everdream is a small spa. We keep the information we need to look after your massage and to run the business, and nothing we don’t. This page says what that is, why we keep it, who sees it and what you can ask of us. It is written in plain language on purpose.

Who we are

Everdream Luxury Wellness Spa, 14 Eglin Road, Sunninghill, Johannesburg, Inside DIVA · Floor 2 · Room 206. Reve Visser, the owner, is responsible for your information. The quickest way to reach us about any of it is WhatsApp on 068 617 4069.

What we keep, and when

When you visit this website

Our website keeps a record of your visit so that we can understand how people find us and move through the site: the pages you open, how long you spend on them, what you tap, and the advert or link that brought you here, if any. To do that, your browser carries a small cookie with a random number in it. There is no name in it, no phone number and nothing you have typed.

We run this ourselves. We do not use Google Analytics, the Meta Pixel or any other third-party tracker, and we never sell or share your browsing with advertisers.

When you book, buy or claim a voucher

Your WhatsApp number, which we confirm with a four-digit code. Your first name, and your surname and email if you give them. Your bookings and the massage you chose. Your payments, though Peach Payments handles your card and we never see your card number. Your vouchers and gifts. And your messages with us on WhatsApp.

Your questionnaire

Before your massage we ask what you would like, and one private question about your health. Your health answer is stored encrypted. It is read only by your therapist and the owner, before your massage. It is never used for anything else, and it is never sent to any AI service or outside company. We delete it two years after your last visit, or the moment you ask.

Joining it up

When you give us your number, on the booking page, in the shop or by messaging us from a button on this site, we connect the visits your browser made before that moment to your record. That is how we know which advert or page led to your booking. Your record shows us what you looked at, never what you typed.

Why we keep it

  • To run your booking: the time, the massage, your preferences, the reminders and the directions.
  • To remember you, so you never have to repeat your details.
  • To tell which adverts and pages work, and to make the site better.
  • To send you messages about your own bookings, vouchers and questions.
  • To keep our books.

Offers go only to clients who have been to us, and “no messages” on WhatsApp stops them at once.

Cookies

ed_vA random visitor number for the site and the booking pages, so your visits can be joined up. Thirteen months.
ed_knownRemembers your confirmed number on the booking and shop pages, so you can skip the code next time. One year.
ed_book, ed_orderA booking or order you have started, while you finish it. A few hours.
Your browser’s own storageWhether you said “not now” to an offer on the site, so it isn’t shown again for a month.

There are no third-party cookies on this site.

Who sees it

Reve, the owner. Ntokozo, your therapist, who sees your bookings, your questionnaire and your health answer. And the person who builds and looks after our systems.

A few companies help us run things. WhatsApp carries your messages. Peach Payments takes your payments. Some of our WhatsApp replies are written with the help of an AI service, which receives only the conversation text it needs to answer, never your health answer. Google Calendar holds our diary: the time, your first name and the massage, nothing more. Afrihost hosts this website, and Cloudflare carries the connection to our booking pages.

Everything else stays on our own computer in Johannesburg. We never sell your information, and we never share it with advertisers.

How long we keep it

  • Your visits to the site: thirteen months.
  • Your record and your bookings: while you are a client, and afterwards only for as long as the law needs them for our books.
  • Your WhatsApp messages with us: made anonymous two years after your last visit.
  • Your health answer: deleted two years after your last visit, or whenever you ask.
  • A booking or order you started but did not finish: thirty days.

What you can ask of us

  • See it. Ask, and we will tell you what we hold about you.
  • Correct it. Tell us on WhatsApp, or change your details on the booking page.
  • Delete it. Say “forget me” on WhatsApp. We delete your record and keep only what the law requires for our books.
  • Stop messages. Say “no messages”.
  • Stop the visit record. Tell us, and we will delete your visits and keep no more.

We answer within a few days, and always within a month. If you are not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa at inforegulator.org.za.

Keeping it safe

Every connection to this site and to our booking pages is encrypted. Your information lives on our own computer, backed up every night. Staff sign in with a code to their phone and a PIN or Face ID. Your health answer is encrypted on top of that.

Under eighteen

Our massages are for people of sixteen and over. If you are under eighteen, a parent or guardian may ask us anything on this page on your behalf.

When this page changes

If what we do changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves.
